Regretted Progress

I realized today I’ve been operating from a false gospel. My entire adult life, I’ve associated societal progression with point of no return. This is why, I thought, conservatives are so fearful of liberal politics. That once the majority agrees this is the direction we need to head socially, it’s very difficult to bust a u-y.  That as time goes on, future generations will only become more and more baffled by what was once considered progression ever not being the norm.

But what if that’s not true. What if, in fact, future generations are appalled by our attempted “steps in the right direction.” What if they look back on our actions, legislations, and social dogma with disgust for our seared collective conscience?

What “progress” of ours will future generations regret? What will they reverse?
